I played the Poker Night Live MTT on Stan James (Prima) tonight as is my wont. I did really well early on, almost doubling up to 2.8k but then slowly gave it all away to finish in a disappointing 20th place going out even before the first break.
Mind you, I've been doing well of late, finishing third in the last two nights' tourneys netting $140. I'm now up overall since I started playing back in November 2005 - only a few quid - but I'm £266 up in April to date which shows promise.
Making money isn't the be-all and end-all of playing poker but it certainly makes it a much easier game to enjoy if you're near break-even or preferably better.

ThinkerJE+ 2005chelsea-
James Edwards is up to 40,000 odd chips. Karen Mead was down to 2,000 some time ago. Hopefully she's doubled-up two or three times and going from strength to strength but ya gotta be worried!
APAT Scotland
The fourth APAT live poker tournament started today at Gala Casino's Maybury in Edinburgh. Unfortunately I'm not in it due to my inability to hold on to my chips for any length of time in the three online satellites and Lady Luck not smiling on me during the draw for seats. However I'm feeling like I'm involved by keeping abreast of exits and chip-ups via APAT's live blog (which incidentally, prompted me to start my own).
I'm rooting for two people I met up with on previous visits to APAT events - Karen Mead - aka '2005chelsea' on the PNL TV tables and James Edwards - Blonde Poker Forum's 'ThinkerJE'. At this stage they both appear to be still in. James is on the APAT leader board having garnered a few points in the fortnightly online deepstack tourneys on Stars. I fancy him for a few points in this too - fingers crossed! Karen also stands a chance of scoring points if she's got her 'A' game on display - she's certainly a frequent figure at the later stages of the PNL MTTs. Good luck to them both and anyone else I've had the pleasure to meet across a poker table, whether virtual or solid.
